Save Mother Angustia From Her Fast Growing Brain Tumor

The Story

On September 12, 2016 Mother Angustia had a mild stroke attack based on her first diagnosis. A month later while recuperating at home, Mother Angustia had another attack, this time it was different and worse. She was rushed straight to the hospital to get a CT scan and it showed a very small mass in her brain at first but it grows unexpectedly fast. In just 3 days it grew and it almost occupied the lower portion of her brain, she already had a cross eye (strabismus) and she cannot feel her left arms anymore. She was diagnosed with a High-Grade Astrocytoma Brain Tumor, a very rare and aggressive type of brain cancer. Mother Angustias Tumor may be operable but it is a malignant cancer.

We are praying tirelessly for compassionate individuals to help us raise the needed funds for Mother Angustias medical needs. The needed funds for her hospitalization and treatment is really expensive. Unfortunately Angustias case is not covered with any type of insurance and she is not enrolled in any health insurance in the first place. She is just a beneficiary of her husband who just passed away last February 26, 2016. My name is April and I'm the youngest child of Angustia. We are 4 siblings who are currently switching shifts in taking care of her. We are overwhelmed by the financial needs of our mothers condition. We are just recovering from our fathers recent passing away hence we are in great need of help this time. I could never easily express how it is very difficult for us this time because "Nanay" (mother) is the only parent we have left.


About Mother Angustia

Angustia has been a housewife all her life. She is a very loving and a very caring mother. She got married to Tatay Pat at 22 years old. She has 4 children. She was devastated when our father Tatay Pat had a terrible accident 15 years ago. Tatay Pat got electrocuted and had been disabled ever since. So Angustia had to be strong to do the work of a mother and a father at the same time until tatay passed away. I hope you could imagine how difficult it is for me to write this down holding my tears not knowing if we are really getting help. But I'm so much hoping this would be read by someone who would love to help. Angustia is still currently in the hospital and is deteriorating by the day. The doctor said the only thing that is supporting her are the steroids so that the fluid can be discharged from her brain. If we stop the steroids there will be a big chance that she will be in a coma. The doctors gave us 3 options which are:

*Radiation Therapy
*Chemo Therapy
*Neuro Surgical Operation

We are keeping our positive outlook because that is what we also see in our mother. She is showing full determination and is always reminding us to not forget praying to the creator wholeheartedly. We will never give up our hope.
