Support The Marine Megafauna Foundation. Save Our Ocean’s Giants.

I’m asking for your help to save the oceans and support vital marine research. The Marine Megafauna Foundation (MMF)'s mission is to save ocean giants. I'm helping MMF launch MEGA expeditions an initiative to raise funds for the organization and give people a DEEPER understanding of the ocean. WHAT DOES MMF DO?

TL;DR: Save ocean giants from extinction!

MMF's mission is to save threatened marine life using pioneering research, education, and sustainable conservation solutions, working towards a world where marine life and humans thrive together.

Their key focus is the 'Marine Megafauna’, which are large marine species such as sharks, rays, marine mammals and turtles. These animals play a critical role in the health of our oceans’ vast ecosystems, and thus the survival of all marine life. However, as they are long-lived and have low reproductive rates, their populations are usually the first to be reduced by human pressures. MMF's research helps develop and implement long lasting conservation solutions that allow these species to rebuild their populations.

WHAT IS THE PROJECT?

TL;DR: Launch MEGA expeditions: a win-win for divers to "go deeper" and MMF to get funding.

In 2018 MMF launched MEGA expeditions - an opportunity for dive tourists to go on marine guided expeditions with MMF in Mozambique. This was deemed the most effective way for MMF to generate organic revenue to cover overhead costs and ensure its sustainability.

Now it's time to get the word out to potential donors - that's where I come in. As part of my WPP Fellowship and in partnership with The International Exchange I will be helping MMF advertise these new expeditions so that divers get to go on awesome adventures and MMF gets to keep doing awesome work.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

TL;DR: My cost is covered but marketing ain't free.

Please note, that all my costs have been taken care of. This is not a fundraiser for me, this is a fundraiser for MMF. The money you donate will be used to cover practical costs related to communicating MEGA expeditions, such as:

• Design and production to bring our creative ideas to life
• Media space to make sure our message is seen by the right people and potential donors
• Influencer and publicity costs to promote our initiative across international markets
• Contest and giveaways to launch the expeditions

If we raise more than the stated amount, all extra funds will be donated to MMF to continue the initiatives we set up.
