  1. Hello everyone!

My name is Ma. Certeza Amurao. A resident of Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Alitagtag, Batangas, whose a mother of two children. I'm 56 years old and I have been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 Secondary to Diabetic Nephropathy. It took us 2 hospitals to find this result in which we paid for almost 250,000 pesos.

It took me and my family awhile to accept my current situation as I have to undergone dialysis 3 times a week since I was hospitalized last August 9, 2019, but a month later, the doctor informed us that 3 sessions can be deducted into 2 sessions a week. Me together with my family were so down financially. Dialysis every week, the medicines I have to take everyday. It was draining for us not only physically but also financially on how we will able to find the money just to survive the week to be able to support the finances of my medication. We have already sold our resources like the portion of a land owned by my husband. I am somehow shy for all the help I’ve recieved from my husband’s side that is why I am here doing my part just to be able to help myself from this nightmare. This was the most depressing moment of my life. And I admit that there are times I almost lost hope and was ready to give up. But as I see my family striving hard and doing their best to support my medication just to extend my life, it gave me the inspiration to keep going in life and the drive to fight and survive this.

But after a series of test and consultations, I was faced with a bitter truth. I was diagnosed with chronic desease. A life long dialysis was the only solution left as also i can’t undergo operation(kidney transplant) because I have been also diagnosed with diabetes years ago. My medical maintenance for my diabetes also added to my worries on my weekly medication. Thus, I am going to need help. Lots of it.

So I’m here, hoping for the best as I already been seeing the bad side of this nightmare long enough. Its about time for me to do my part because seeing my family and relatives also suffer only makes me saddened and somehow blame myself. But I know they will be there for me no matter what.

And it is with this disposition, that I am imploring for your kindness and generosity. Please give me a second chance. A second chance to be with my family longer, a chance to be of further service to the community, a chance to experience life a little bit longer. I know it maybe too much to ask but it is only through your help that a second chance is possible.

Please find it in your hearts to give me that chance. You may donate or send help through my son and niece’s Bank Account.
