Campaign Story
Our charming boy was rescued by our sister in his early teenage years, he has become an essential part of our family, giving us laughter, joy and love whenever he could and would find time to cuddle, play and gladly give in to a hug and a dance.
Today, our sweet kenzo is going through a tough time since his FIV diagnosis back in December 2021.
Currently, in order to keep him alive and go through several treatments, we need a crowd-funding support - whatever we can do, to keep him alive and breathing until he gets healthy. That would take 6 months of treatment and that alone, would cost an estimate of $40,000SGD or higher.
As much as we'd like to take it slow, he's in critical condition and that breaks our hearts every single day. He is currently on tube feeding and in the ICU.
Our poor boy was healthy up until Dec 2021. We didn't know how or what but it started with FIV (cat bites) but we saw no evidence of cat bites present during that time, it could've been undetected and it could've been something he had when he was younger as we didn't send him to check for any at that period of time.
When we finally got him on medication for FIV (an incurable disease), he suffered from another issue; stomatitis (mouth ulcers) backlash, which made it very difficult for him to consume food. This, in return, causes major weight loss, muscle mass and lowered his healthy red blood count (making him anemic). In the hopes of helping him fight and reduce the mouth ulcers, it would make his FIV more active and this is an ongoing battle Kenzo is facing. :( It has been hard for him to balance both illnesses but we have hope that he can get stable.
Currently, he is in crisis state hence why he has to be monitored in a vet hospital ICU, as they make him stable (the costs for us to bare is difficult to cover any additional hospital stays and medication) which is why we're here to ask for help.
We hope that you can find the time, funding and spread the word across so we can give our dear Kenzo the best possible care there is in a giving community.
Thank you for taking the time to share, donate and spread the word, it means a lot to us.
xx

*UPDATE 10/4/22*
It is with great sadness that I have to deliver this news but our baby boy Kenzo has left us early in the morning, on the month of Ramadan. I wish things were different but with an FIV positive cat whose immune system is highly compromised and failing, his major weight loss showed us that he's in crisis and a fast decline that even the last vet clinic visit said we had to prepare for the worst just in case.
His lethargy breaks our hearts and his sudden vomiting and constant fever frightened us, we took care of him the best way we could but with a rapid decline, he really fought till the end. He bought us 1 day at the emergency hospital when we came to visit him, he was so happy and jumpy, he was trying really hard to escape from his hospital cage twice, I would carry him back to his tiny bed. He would request for me to pet him in all the ways that i could when he was tiny. It was the same kenzo i met in 2011 - i was in love

Update on fundraiser target
Update posted by Hazwani Musahar at 05:05 pmDue to kenzo's passing, it seems that we may not need as much funds since we don't have to pay for any further medical bills and treatments.Unfortunately, we still need to help my sister raise funds for all the medical expenses she had to pay for, draining her very own

It is very unfortunate that our beloved friend and companion has passed peacefully after 4-months of fighting FIV and secondary illnesses that came with it. His tragic passing is something I hope all cat owners will never have to go through at all. We knew we were buying time and. . . . .

The boy has a little more energy compared to when he was admitted due to the medications prescribed. He tried to escape twice but he can’t 🥴Our vet said that he’s doing a little better but we’re still in need of all the funding we can get as each hospital night. . . . .
