Some of you may know my lovely cleaner, Samira Salha. (If not, I can strongly recommend her if you live in central London!)
Her cousin's son, Ibrahim (nicknamed 'Bob'), is in a life-threatening situation. He is only 12 years old and has been suffering with chronic myotubular myopathy since he was 2, bless him.
Ibrahim was moving independently with mild to moderate weakness in his limbs untill February, when his myopathy deteriorated to pneumonia and bacteremia.
He has been admitted to the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) and has received intravenous antibiotics and steroids to improve his muscle strength. He has persistent difficulty swallowing, and is ventilator-dependent.
The parents have very little money and their boy needs round-the-clock care and expensive treatment. They already owe at least £10,000 to the AUBMC. We are so blessed here in the West and have the wherewithal to buy each other lovely presents. So this is a wonderful opportunity for us to show our appreciation by giving a little back to one boy who really needs it. Your donation will be passed directly on to AUBMC. LIKE us on our Facebook page for updates on how Ibrahim is doing and to see where you money is going.
The best Christmas present is life!
Please, help save Ibrahim by Christmas Day. Give whatever you can, however little, today.
On behalf of Samira and the Salha family, thank you *so* much and God bless you.
