Why is Saving Frank Zappa’s Legacy so important? In our humble opinion, Frank was one of the most important and prolific musicians of the 20th century. As the Zappa Family Trust sells off memorabilia from the house, it would be sad to see items of interest be purchased by private collectors and never see the light of day.

Our purpose in fund-raising is to raise money to purchase Zappa memorabilia, set to be auctioned to private collectors on November 4th and 5th, 2016; to preserve this musical legacy for future generations.
Out of our love for Frank and his music, it is our hope to have these items be maintained in the public domain for everyone to enjoy.

As we collect donations, we are engaging in a discussion of what SPECIFIC items to purchase from the auction catalogue; and once purchased, how they should be properly displayed. One idea being entertained is to have them housed at a museum, or travel abroad. We invite ALL Zappa fans to have a say in this conversation.

Save Frank Zappa’s Legacy Fund is a group of Zappa fans in the United States, Canada, Europe… and world-wide. We are registered as a Charitable Organization in the State of Illinois, and have RECEIVED for 501 (c) 3 status from the IRS, effective September 13, 2016.

We are NOT affiliated with any Zappa family members NOR with the Zappa Family Trust. Our sole concern is for the preservation of the memorabilia and legacy Frank Zappa.

NAPOLEON MURPHY BROCK supports us. This is his message:
"Hi, I'm Napoleon Murphy Brock. I toured and recorded with Frank Zappa in the mid-'70s and appeared on his records in the early '80s as well, when I played the Evil Prince on the album "Thing Fish." And yes, I played in the legendary Roxy and Elsewhere band. The importance of that record, and the legacy of Frank Zappa, cannot be overstated. And that's why I am here to support Save Frank Zappa's Legacy, a non-profit group of humble fans who want to purchase Zappa memorabilia at auction this November. Those coveted objects from Frank's past will be publicly displayed for all of Frank's fans to enjoy. So please help make it happen. Donate to the project, and help save Frank Zappa's legacy. Be well and God bless."
