Every Beat Counts. (Save Faye by Faith)

Some people exhales a big sigh, while others inhales their last.

Faye is our youngest of seven siblings. She is a jolly and playful kid. She is very active in school too, despite her suffering some occassional asthma attacks. I’m not living with them anymore because I’ve already started my own family and her medical condition, even not neglected, wasn’t able to be monitored more carefully. She began to experience shortness of breath and restlessness more often than usual and that was the time we were alarmed. During doctor’s visit on those events, no laboratory tests were asked and we didn’t initiated because of the lack of funds. We’re from an average family that labor to keep up with our needs. I do hope that it won’t appear to you as our negligence. We tried our best but we can’t keep up with the phase that stumbled in our family’s way. With all the resources we can muster, we brought her to a specialist and she was diagnosed with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect), a congenital heart disease wherein an opening was found in the heart. I knew Faye fought her way through all these years. And she keeps on fighting. She keeps her little heart beating. We are all trying to save for her to be tested and hopefully get pass through this . Every heartbeat is a precious moment. For her. For us. And I hope that beat reaches you.
