Venkatraman Memorial Trust is an educational charity registered in India and the UK. Since 2004 we have been working with the less privileged children in Kovalam, a tiny fishing village in the southern part part of India. We support about 300 children from the village- some of them are orphans and all of them live under the breadline.

We pay for their schooling and welfare. We also support 20-25 students in college education - the only way for them to get employed and bring themselves and their families out of poverty.

We are witnessing a healthy increase in the number of students completing their school education with excellent grades and we are committed to put them through higher education. As we are a small charity our sources of funds are limited. While it is the the kind of results we expected to bring about in these underprivileged communities, i.e., students' success ratio in schools, it also strains us in providing them quality higher education. As you know professional courses like Medicine or Engineering are expensive in India. This is year we have a few toppers whom we have been supporting with school education.

Their aspirations are to become doctors and lawyers and work towards uplifting the communities they live in and set examples for others.

I am launching this campaign to raise funds for professional college scholarships.

Please join us and strengthen our hands in supporting these bright children and you can be the reason behind their smile TODAY and TOMORROW YOU WILL BE THE REASON FOR THEIR BRIGHT FUTURE....
