This is the Save Daisy page. Her profile pic is of her nursing a stray kitten they rescued the other day and she immediately adopted her even though she was ill at the time.

Daisy is a 6 year old Shih Tzu who has recently become very ill (they are afraid it may be cancer). Her Mother (owner), my disabled sister Judy, has also recently undergone heart surgery. Daisy is the mother of the love of my life, Snickers. This is how Judy feels for Daisy, she is her everything. She is suffering from high fevers, lethargy, random nausea, she won't eat or drink without my sister forcing her. She is limp when Judy picks her up to take her on walks and she just drags her beautiful tail on the ground behind her. It is breaking my heart and I know it's breaking Judy's too as she sobbed to me on the phone about it.

It has already cost hundreds of dollars, that she doesn't have, to pay for just some of the tests Daisy needs to find out what is wrong with her. She was able to get something called a Care Card that doesn't charge interest on the money if you pay on time, but she doesn't even have the money for the monthly payments. She has had her since before becoming disabled and can't bare to part with her, or have anything happen to her. I am unable to help her with the costs as I recently lost my job and am looking for work.

For all of those dog lovers out there, I am begging you, if you have anything to spare, even just $1, please help SAVE DAISY!

UPDATE:

I'm sorry this update is so long in coming....
Daisy is doing a little better. I don't have to force her to eat if I make a special soft blend that she likes she'll eat it from the dish. She now has a huge growth on her lower right jaw caused from the aspirate that was done on her lymph node. Hopefully the additional antibiotic and hot compresses 3 times /day will help that soon. The aspirate that...
they took didn't have enough cells to say definatively one way or the other on the cancer, but nothing grew from them. Her blood work was all over the place indicating that it could be cancer, amoung other things. Now they want to put her under and biopsy her lymph nodes, but she's not eating well enough to do that. They talked me into testing for valley fever, even though I don't think that's what it is. We'll see. So this visit, including medication, was almost $200, but they wanted to do $600 worth of tests that I just couldn't do. This didn't include the biopsy. They just don't know what's wrong with her.
