Save Christmas for Jacob

Hello Everyone, 

We are a family that is trying to come together for Christmas. Our names are Christopher, Bethany and Jacob. Jacob is a sweet 7 year old boy that lives with his mother part-time in Texas. Christopher is his father and his "super-hero" although, lately Christopher hasn't been feeling very super for Jacob. He tries with all his heart to make it possible to see Jacob as much as he can. Christopher and Bethany live in Los Angeles, CA and Jacob lives in El Paso, TX. The distance between us is hurting our Christmas and our family now more than ever.

Christopher is a full-time personal fitness trainer who lately has been struggling to make ends meet. His business took a big hit when he suffered a knee injury and lost most of his clients. He has been doing everything in his power to try to get business to pick back up, but during the holiday season it has been seemingly close to impossible. Bethany is his loving girlfriend who recently got a job with a work-from-home company doing customer service, but she is unable to start work with the company until mid-January. Both of us are hardworking people who have finally worked up the courage to swallow our pride and ask for some help. 

With our apartment rent being due for December that we still haven't been able to pay, we have no funds to put toward seeing Jacob for Christmas. (We barely have any food in the fridge nevermind a magical Christmas tree.) We are trying to rent a car and drive over 900 miles from Los Angeles to El Paso to pick up Jacob and bring him back to Los Angeles to spend his Christmas vacation with his super-hero Daddy. We have looked into greyhound bus tickets, train tickets, and airfare however we think that renting a car would be the most cost efficient and reliable form of transportation. We are asking you kind, generous, big-hearts to help us make it possible to pay for our rental & gas expenses for the trip.

Our biggest wish is to just keep our promise to Jacob that he will be able to see his Daddy for Christmas, that's all he asked Santa for this year. We both grew up in very broken homes and it was never possible to ever have a big happy family together on Christmas. Relatives being divorced and spread out all over the country, Holidays for us never looked anything like they do in the movies. The last thing we want is for Jacob to experience the hardships that we did growing up. We want him to have a magical real Christmas.

We feel horrible that we don't have the funds to make his Christmas magical with a Christmas tree and presents or a big Christmas feast on the table, but as long as we are all together, then we can do our best to make the most of it. Any of your help would be so very very much appreciated. If you can find it in your hearts to give anything at all towards our cause you can rest assured that our little boy Jacob will have big smiles on his face on Christmas morning!
