Help this ongoing fundraising campaign by making a donation and spreading the word.Cara was found in Ireland, co Meath today. She was hit by a car. My wonderful friend found him, took him to a vet, and now she is there under observation. She has a severe fracture in her leg, that needs to be operated or amputated. My friend has promised her a forever home, if we can fundraise the money to the operation that will cost approx. 1000 eur. The veteraniry clinic has already agreed to subside the operations etc to this price. We urgently need your help!!
Should there be any leftover funds (as we don't know yet, exactly how much the surgery will be), they will be given to Brayvet, towards their other 'charity cases' (injured ferals, etc.)

Thanks to all who have donated - it looks like we have enough funds now, to cover Cara's surgery and post-op treatment! =) ... Her operation will take place tomorrow (Thursday 19th June), and the fractured leg will be amputated. I've seen the xrays today, and there was so little bone on one side of the fracture, that amputation was really the most practical and humane choice for Cara. It's a front leg, so she'll be just fine, once the surgery wound has healed. ... I've posted updates with photos on Facebook, but I'm in a sunny garden right now, so can't really see my screen that well. I might attempt to link the updates, later on. =)

We are going to give you updates from this evening ab. the Caras progress! Donations are still open, as per our agreement, if there is any funds over, they will be donated

Update posted by saveca at 09:08 am1/5 of the initial goal collected within an hour!! Thank you all! More is needed though! And in the sad case of Cara not making it, the money will go directly to BrayVet for providing urgent care and assistance for other cats in need.

I'll be going to bed soon, and won't be checking this page until after work and the vet visit tomorrow, but I just wanted to thank everyone who's chipping in - you're all fantastic! =) I'm going to post news as soon as possible, but it will probably be after 5pm Irish time, tomorrow.
