Buddy saved my son's life.

5 years ago my wife died and my 11 year old son, Shane, stopped speaking to people... but not to Buddy. Buddy never left his side, not once, and Shane clung to him for his sanity. For 6 months Buddy was Shane's only confidante; told him all his secrets, held him close at all times. Buddy never betrayed him, never once broke that trust; a fierce friend. My wife died and my son vanished before my eyes. My dog brought him back. Good boy.

Buddy has been great to all of us; he has physically protected my daughter, in one case from a man approaching her; he and my wife use to have long conversations late at night; he has always come when I call him. Always. He is the epitome of DOG. God created man and said to himself, "I can do better." Then God created DOG.

Took Buddy to the vet today, he has had a rash that cleared up with pills but came back with boils. The Dr. said it could be cancer but we won’t know until we do surgery. The estimate is $1,413.24. I don’t know what most of this stuff is; Vetscreen/cbc/T4 7754 for $164.00 or Isoflurane Anesth Add’l ½ hr for $47.75 but it seems important. There is a long list like this that stands between me and my dog’s life, I fear.

I’m scared. My son is 16 now and doin great, very well adjusted considering. However, Buddy still sleeps with him every night, they are still best friends. I don’t know who he would turn to if we lost Buddy, our cat sucks.

If every friend I have on social media pitched in 75 cents. Just three Quarters. My dog would have a chance to be there for a while longer for all of us.

Stay Buddy, Stay.
