We've created this campaign following a recently meeting to discuss the serious financial situation of the Club which, at present, is so bad that it is looking very likely that we may have to close the Club down.
Some positive benefits of reviewing the situation with the members is already starting to come to light. The most important one is that we are formulating a two stage plan.
The first stage is to review the current debts and put in measures to reduce them or, better still, settle them outright.
The second, and we believe more important stage, is to establish a five year business plan, detailing investment projects which could return a profit back to the Club. The outcome of this plan will be to establish a measurable business plan with targets and achievable objectives.
In order to turn the Club around we need your help – we’ve established that to complete the first stage of our plan the Club needs to raise at least £10,000 within the next month. We believe that this target is within the capabilities of the membership to raise, at present there is a membership list of around 600. This equates to just £20 from each member. If you feel that you can donate more we will gratefully accept it.
The important Stuff - because we are not a charitable group we are unable to claim back any tax relief from your donation. Also this website will take 4% on the amount raised directly from your donation. Paypal processing fees are an average are 2.9%.
