Our family pet, Bentley, who is a 16 month old American Eskimo mix was diagnosed with diabetes on December 7, 2013. He was previously hospitilized for a week (which came with a hefty fee) because he had swallowed a chicken bone that had blocked his intestines. After coming home from the animal hospital, he could not gain weight and was literally becoming skin and bones. Upon taking him back to the vet, it was determined that his blood sugar level was 603 which is extremely high for a dog. In order to survive, he now has to take insulin, which costs 40 dollars a month ($480/year). My family does not have the financial means to pay this fee, therefore the only options at this point are to find money to pay for the insulin, or have our sweet dog put to sleep. Absolutely ANY donation that can help alleviate the costs for my family and help to save Bentley's life would be appreciated.
