Bella studying law at the University of Cape Town majoring in Children's Rights. Recently she suffered a major blow when the firm that I received a bursary from shut down and with it so did her dreams of ever becoming a Child Welfare Activist.
She is stuck in a cycle of barely surviving, working as a waitress at night and studying full time. The money she makes is just enough to pay my week to week bills but nowhere close to paying her accommodation and tuition fees.
She spends her days at campus and evenings at a low paying job only to come home late at night to find the electricity is shut off or the water is shut off and while coping with these stresses she has to sit down and focus on studying. She has being forced to neglect my studies due to this overwhelming workload and pressure. Without change She will be kicked out and won't be able to graduate because of the mistakes of someone else.
She needs your help to save my life. Without a home she cannot continue with her studies. She doesn't quite know how to cope with all of this but she is trying by working odd jobs here and there. Her current situation reflects the very system of oppression we live in where the helpless are taken advantage off while the rich and powerful get away scot free. This is, her friend, me making a deliberate attempt to shift the balance and help a fellow youth achieve her dreams. YOU can help shift this balance.
She is not one to accept charity so I only ask for a small amount of R3620 just to help her get on her feet.
Note: Any money raised above the goal will be donated to a student in need or a foundation that supports students in need.
Every little bit helps. It all starts with you.
With deep love and appreciation,
