On October 2018 Nick & Jen Frey received some of the most heartbreaking news they could get; their beloved dog, Bailey, had been deemed a "dangerous animal" and was ordered destroyed by the city of Garland that they call home.
I'm sure you are wondering what would cause the city to take such drastic & permanent measures against a family's loving & loyal pet. You see earlier in the month unbeknownst to Nick & Jen, Bailey had gotten out of the family's yard while outside to do her business. As soon as they realized she was gone, Nick hopped in his car to find her. Before he could even make it down his street, he spotted a neighbor headed towards him with Bailey on a leash. Bailey was nothing but tail wags and excitement as the neighbor walked Bailey to her Dad. As the neighbor was handing Bailey off to Nick, a police officer arrived and told Nick that Bailey had bitten another dog while loose in the neighborhood. Apparently, another neighbor had been walking his Eskie and the 2 dogs got in to a bit of a scuffle as dogs sometimes do. We don't know the circumstances surrounding the fight because said neighbor (who is also an attorney & who is now suing Jen & Nick to the tune of $10K) was the only witness. He claims a "Pit Bull" attacked his dog. Well, Bailey is not a Pit Bull nor does she even resemble one.
