I am Lee Mulder, I am 29 and I am from Gauteng, South Africa.
I am passionate about children and the story of Amie has touched me deeply. I have a 7 month old baby boy of my own and I cannot imagine the heartache these parents must be going through right now!
What are you fundraising for? Little Amie Breedt, born on the 12th of July 2019, is currently still fighting for her life at Steve Biko government hospital in Johannesburg. She was born weighing 2.8kg and from the beginning they knew something was wrong with her but to date they cannot provide any answers.
Little Amie has been through tests and trials and nobody has an answer for the parents as to why this little girl has breathing problems, permanent brain damage, she has suffered seizures, her whole life so far has been in the NICU on oxygen and feeding tubes.
The doctors suspected Zelwegger syndrome, they did not have the facilities to do the testing themselves so testes were sent to Capetown several weeks ago, still no answer.
We urgently need help to get little Amie seen to by private doctors and specialists to get the necessary tests and more importantly a diagnosis! Without a diagnosis her chances of a normal life grows slimmer and slimmer as they don't know what they are treating.
I plead not only to mothers and parents who wouldn't be able to handle a situation like this with their own, I plead to every person reading this and every person able to make a difference! Please help us save little Amie Breedt!
What is your time frame? We just need funds as soon as possible to start the testing , anything at any time will be much appreciated
How will funds be used? Funds will strictly go to specialists, doctors and medical care for Amie Breedt
Impact of donations? This will give little Amie Breedt a chance to fight, a chance at a diagnosis, at treatment, at a normal life! Please help us help baby Amie
Thank You Message On behalf of the family and friends of Amie Breedt and her parents I would like to thank you for contributing to help improve this little girl's life
