Save Athena’s Heart

Athena Jane's smile has blessed us since April 16, 2018. Her spirit is both graceful and strong, but as fate would have it, she was born with a congenital heart disease called Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), wherein a hole is present in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart.

On top of her VSD, she is diagnosed with dextrocardia, a rare condition where the heart points to the right of the chest instead of toward the left. This condition affects 1 in 12,000 pregnancies, or less than 1%, making Athena a little more one-of-a-kind.

The only solution is a dangerous but essential open heart surgery which costs almost a million Pesos but is our best and only shot at saving Athena's heart and giving her a chance to live a long, everyday life.
