Save an Eco Farm

Hello Clean Environment Lovers and Supporters,

Wiiwii's Farm is an organic Eco-friendly farm, and an Eco picnic ground where people can connect with nature and live with plants & animals in a dazzling environment.

At Wiiwii's farm I'm trying to reach 100% sustainability & support to the environment via following several approaches such as:

Growing & raising everything organically & naturally

Cover crops

Crops rotation & diversity

Using modern irrigation systems (dripping & spraying) to save the water

Increasing the biodiversity in the field

Closed loop (growing farm animal's food & then use their waste to fertilize the soil)

Responsibly using the resources & trying to adapt renewable ones

Recycling, upcycling, reducing the waste

Almost using no single use plastic

The main crop is olive & the main products are organic olive oil & organic free-range chickens & eggs, yet, I am growing seasonal crops to serve farm animals & birds in addition to enhance the soil & the bio diversity.

As water is the main source of life for every creature, it’s the main pillar for a farm to exist & sustain.

The farm is located in a desert area (Cairo Alexandria desert road) which is not near to the Nile River, so our source of water is the underground water (water wells).

The old water well has stopped functioning & it reached an end which requires a new one to be dug.

The cost is high & the last couple of years were so tough for the business as the main crop (Olive) yield was so low due to climate changes, and same goes for farm visits due to Covid crises, the thing that made it hard to be able to finance the digging of a new well.

Temporarily, I am getting some water from kind neighbors to keep the farm alive, but this is so tough and not reliable & can’t help grow enough or expand. It’s just about saving the trees & securing the basic water for the available animals & birds.

The farm is 100% Eco-friendly which serves the whole system from humans, plants, animals, birds, insects, soil, resources,…

The farm also receives volunteers from around the world who learn a lot about farming & sustainability. To them, it is a transformational experience, where many of them embraced sustainability concepts & became Eco friendly, started acting differently by promoting such ideas which is spreading as a community culture.

Thinking about all these efforts and the life changing experience with a past tense fashion “due to unavailability of water” saddened me and my friends. Donations to help availing reliable source of water to the farm really matter to save the current trees & animals, & help keeping the farm green & productive, which is positively impacting the world even if with a tiny touch.
