"I’ve posted a picture of Alistair, because this campaign is about him. And who am I? I’m the person, whose life he saved 14 years ago. I’m now doing for Alistair what he did for me. I’m working hard to save his life. But I need your help. Actually, I need your donations. Please read Alistair’s story and donate whatever you can afford today.

Alistair's only 57 and has terminal Prostate Cancer and I urgently need your help to get him the life saving treatment he so desperately needs. The doctors in the UK have told Alistair that his Cancer is terminal and have all but given up on him. We can’t let this happen. Because there is another way. There’s a new cancer treatment in Germany that could save his life. And all it takes is money. If I had the £30,000 it costs I would give it to him, but I don’t and I need your help. So why Alistair? Well, there are few people in this world that really make a difference to your life and Alistair saved mine. Suffering from Anorexia, weighing only 4 and half stone and told I had only 2 weeks to live, I was in a desperate place that no one thought I’d ever come back from. But in walked Alistair, the big burly Scottish addictions counsellor that saved me. He refused to give up on me. He refused to see me as others did - as a lost cause. He gave me a route to recovery that was different and radical - that achieved what no-one else had in the 10 years I was ill. He showed me how to grab my life back and to live it to the full. And in the 14 years since I first met him, he has always been there for me. When I’ve lost my way, he has guided me back. When life has caused me despair, he has given me time and care and got me through. And I’m not alone. There are hundreds of others like me whose lives Alistair has saved, whose illnesses and addictions he has supported them to overcome.

All I need is for enough people to donate a minimum of £2 each and I know we can save Alistair. All you have to do is be one of these people and you'll help me to do for Alistair what he has done for hundreds of others. We have to give him a second chance of life. So please, let’s get saving Alistair today."
