Save A Life, Save Baby Jhana

This fundraiser is going to be for the benefit of "Baby Jhana", an Incontinentia Pigmenti patient.

Let me start by sharing the story of how I got to know this sweet little angel and her family. I posted this on my FB page and so far it has been gaining some likes and shares. On August 1, 2017, I wrote...

Last week, a woman sent me a message asking for financial assistance for her grand daughter who she claimed was sick. I must admit, though, that the message caught me off guard as I didn't know her, and I initially thought that she was just making up a story to try to get some money. Also, I didn't know why she contacted me of all people, nor how she knew that I could help. She directed me to this "personal blog" of an ill baby where I found the answers I was looking for.

The said woman is Ms. Marie Rose Amardiser and she's been using her partner's FB account (Demier Declito). According to her and based on my research, the baby is her grandchild - the daughter of her daughter Christine Catapang Maneja. Apparently, Baby Jhana (as they call her) has a rare skin condition called "Incontinentia Pigmenti" >> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incontinentia_pigmenti

I am a registered nurse but this is the first time that I've encountered such a disease, so I also did my research on Incontinentia Pigmenti. True enough and as what Ms. Amardiser had said, the disease not only affects the skin but has the potential to damage the eyes and the central nervous system as well. This baby really needs help! 😥

They've been in and out of East Avenue Medical Center these past few months (where baby Jhana got diagnosed), and the continuing medical support to prevent further complications is becoming more and more challenging for the family to provide. The baby needs further testing, genetic counseling, ophtha and derma consult, medications to prevent complications, etc. The family simply could not afford all these, though,which is why we're humbly asking for your financial support. 🙏🙏🙏

According to her grandmother (Ms. Amardiser), baby Jhana, her mother, and her older sister are currently living with them in Bauan, Batangas. Her father is a construction worker, so he's usually away from home.
