Save a father’s heart

Hello everyone,

The past 4 years have been very tough for me.

Christmas' eve of 2014, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 2B Breast Cancer. It was tough because I was not yet regularized at my job. And I didn't have money to sustain her medical needs. Luckily her brothers & sisters were kind enough to donate some money while I still had nothing.

When I got regularized, I was able to get a health insurance for my parents (through my company).

Luckily, chemo and radiation was fully covered - so with my mom's regular check ups.

However, this year. My father have been complaining of unusual heart pains. We did not take it seriously because every time we take him to a cardiologist in Tacloban City, they did not see any abnormalities.

The cardiologist suggested to take him to Cebu for further examination. He undergone multiple procedures.

There they found out that my father has a very low heart rate. The holter also showed that my father's heart stopped beating for 4 seconds but he was able to recover. His heart stops beating from time to time.

Cardiologist informed us that he needs to have a pacemaker immediately. Operation will be covered by my insurance but the pacemaker itself is not. We were asked to prepare Php 200,000.00.

To be honest, I don't have that big amount since I am the only one working. I am just renting here in Cebu, I am still sending my brother to school and shouldering my mother's medication.

I would like to knock on your kind hearts, to help me with any amount that you can donate for my father's pacemaker.

I would really like to extend my father's life because I know he was not able to fully enjoy it yet.
