Hi, thanks to all of you who have visited this page. I'm Adel Hashem, a Yemeni journalist and aid worker with “25” years old and living in the capital of Yemen, Sana’a. I’m the managing and executive director of Human Needs Development-HND.

Best thanks as well to all our kind and generous backers who donated us on our “SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN-1” campaign. With your kind support, we were able to reach our goal of “$11,300” and feed about “360” hungry families for a month in various Yemeni governorates such as Amant Al-Asimah, Hajjah and Dhamar.

Because of the huge humanitarian crisis that our people in Yemen have been facing since about “3” years ago, we have launched our “SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN-2” campaign of “$20,000” to feed the hungriest families in Yemen.

1. WHAT IS SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN-2?

“Save A Family in Yemen-2” is HND's second relief campaign that aims to help the most war affected families in Yemen with food baskets.%100 of your charitable donations will directly go to purchase the food items.

Every food basket costs “$30” and will be sufficient ONE month.

Every food basket contains the following:

• 25 kg of wheat,
• 5 kg of rice,
• 5 kg of sugar and
• 2 liters of cooking(vegetable) oil.

Save a Family in Yemen-2 contains of stages. In every stage, we will target new hungry families. Those families are “the most vulnerable group” in the targeted communities.

Priority will be given to those families with big number of members, disabled householders, most of their members are headed by females, internally displaced and those families who don't have income sources.

2. WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP?

3. HOW WILL MY DONATIONS BE USED?

Your kind donations will be withdrawn by HND every TWO months. Through these donations, we will carry out a stage to feed and target a number of those “most vulnerable families".

All funds would collected here will be used as the following:

• 84%: Purchasing food packages,

Food packages will be purchased from local food suppliers near the living locations of the needy families;

• 10%: Transporting, calls fees and stationary supplies,

We pay about 7% for trucks that transport the food packages into the communities where the targeted families live. Only about 3% will be spent to cover the costs of calls fees and stationary supplies;

• 6%: GoGetFunding and Wire Transfer fees.

4. HOW DO I KNOW MY MONEY WILL GO TO FEED THE FAMILIES?

Being completely transparent about where your donation goes is one of our most important values. We ensure 100% transparency in a number of different ways:

- Publication of all photos, videos and financial documents,

We post all of the photos and videos of the stages’ distribution processes as updates here.

- Email you Final Reports:

We send you an email with a Final Report that contains all the details of every stage such as budget, activities and a list with the names of the targeted families.

5. SOME OF OUR PROJECTS:

Since 2017, HND has launched tens of projects in Yemen helping about "15,000" needy people with most life's basic needs such as food, water, education, health and other emergency needs.

In all of our project, we give priority to those most vulnerable groups such as internal displaced person-IDPs, children and people with disabilities.

This is an opportunity to give directly to the people of Yemen, the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, and we can't thank you enough for your donations.
