AlsalamAleikom/Hi, thanks to all of you who have visited this page. I'm Adel Hashem, a Yemeni humanitarian aid worker living in the capital of Yemen, Sanaa. I’m the executive director of Human Needs Development-HND.

We all at HND are a Yemeni group united by our passion to make a difference. We vow to help create change by making a better living condition for the most war-affected people in our Home, Yemen. We help them with most life's basic needs such as foods, education and health. We help them regardless their different religions, sects, colors and regions.

Best thanks as well to all our kind and generous backers who donated us on our “SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN-1” campaign. With your kind total supporting of ($11,588), we were able to feed “386” hungry families for a month in three Yemeni governorates.

Anyway, because of the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the number of hungry Yemeni people as well are getting increased day after day, it was too important to launch the second campaign (SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN-2).

• WHAT IS SAVE A FAMILY IN YEMEN-2?

“Save A Family in Yemen-2” is HND's second relief campaign that aims to help the most war affected families in Yemen with food baskets.

Every food basket costs “$30” and will be sufficient ONE month. Every food basket contains the following:

• 25 kg of wheat,
• 5 kg of rice,
• 5 kg of sugar and
• 2 liters of cooking(vegetable) oil.

Priority will be given to those families with big number of members, disabled householders, most of their members are headed by females, internally displaced and those families who don't have income sources.

• WHY FOOD?
  

The people and children in Yemen are suffering with many war consequences such as displacement, lack of water, no good medical care. BUT hunger is the worst consequences they have been facing. So helping them with foods is the most fundamental and urgent humanitarian assistance the people in Yemen need.

Anyway, we decided to spend ALL your donations collected here to help the Yemeni people with foods because of the following reasons:

• There is an estimated “18” MILLION people in Yemen suffering with food insecurity;
• “600,000” children are acutely malnourished;
• About “130” children die every day in Yemen because of hunger and diseases(UNICEF);
• About “8” MILLION people are facing FAMINE;
• “50,000” children believed to have died in only 2017 because of extreme hunger and diseases.

ONE CHILD DIES EVERY 10 MINUTES IN YEMEN BECAUSE OF HUNGER AND DISEASES (UNICEF)

• HOW MY DONATIONS WILL BE USED?

All the amounts collected here will be withdrawn and used per TWO months. That means we will carry out a stage per TWO months.

Every TWO months, we will target new Yemeni areas, communities and families. Priority is given to those families with big number of members; disabled householders; most of their members are females, internally displaced and those families who don't have any income resources.

Anyway, all funds would be collected here will be used as the following:

• 84%: Purchasing food packages,

Food packages will be purchased from local food suppliers near the living locations of the needy families;

• 10%: Transporting fees (trucks) and office supplies,

(7%) will be used to cover the trucks costs. Trucks will transport the food packages into the living locations of the targeted families. (3%) to cover our Office supplies such as calls, papers etc.

• 6%: GoGetFunding and Wire Transfer Fees.

(6%) fees taken by GoGetFunding platform website and other wire transferring services.

• HOW DO I KNOW MY MONEY WILL GO TO FEED THE FAMILIES IN NEED?

For every single donation sent by you, you'll receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of donating. Within 24 hours, you’ll also receive “a tax receipt” via email for your records.

Anyway, because of being completely transparent about where your donation goes is one of our most important values we ensure 100% transparency in a number of different ways:

- Publication of all photos and videos,

We post all of the photos and videos of the stages’ distribution processes as updates here.

- Email you Final Report:

We send you an email with a Final Report that contains all the details and financial stuffs so you know how your kind supporting is used.

• SOME OF OUR ACHIEVED PROJECTS?

Since our HND establishment on 2016, we successfully have launched over “90” projects in most Yemeni urban and rural areas with an estimated budget of (120,000 USD). We helped over “20,000” people in Yemen right now with food, water, education, health care and other relief needs such as clothes, blankets, financial supporting, hygiene kits and milk!
