Save a Family Home of 50 Years Being Put on the Market

Hello I am Rebecca Hancock and I am trying to raise funds to save our family home of 50 years from being put on the property market to be sold. The house is in need of some tender loving care with some minor building work and tree cutting to be done but without the money to do this work we will be forced to sell the house.

My grandmother Mary, who lived in the family home nearly all her life, fell and broke her hip in August 2014, by October of that year she was in full time care. Any savings that we had went on the cost of her care and sadly she died of pneumonia in January 2015. Now my Mother who was a full time carer for Mary for nearly 20 years, and I are trying to save our beloved home.

Work that needs doing:

The side of the property wall is in need of filling, it is letting damp in on the side of the upper bedroom wall and also our neighbours our getting damp in upstairs. The Fireplace needs a full sweep as in the past we have small fires in the chimney. Tall trees at the top of the garden are destroying the boundary wall and are in desperate need of being cut down before they course anymore damage. There are other small jobs that need work but we are focusing on the most important jobs first.

The costs will come to roughly £2000 pounds ($3110.00 US Dollars) to cover the work with any left over money being used for smaller jobs.
