Save a family!

Petrica lives with his wife, Mariana and their seven kids in their two-room house in a remote village called Joldesti, situated in the Northern county of Botosani, Romania. The low living standards of Eastern Europe don't even apply in their case, because it gets much worse than that. What’s been happening ever since poverty took over their house is very hard to describe in words. Both of the parents tried to find a job in their village, but the only thing they could obtain were short-term, low paid jobs, helping other people around just to get something to eat. They have to share one of the rooms with their horse during the winter, because it helps them survive financially. The only income they have, besides occasionally jobs involving their horse, is their children’s allowances, approximately 240 lei/ month, the equivalent of 54 euros. Therefore, a family of 9 members has to pay for food, clothes, and all the monthly expenses out of that, which makes it very hard for them. Because of that, their children haven’t always had access to education. Claudia, who is a lovely, but severely underweight 11 years-old girl, is one of the few who didn’t drop out of school. Florentina, the eldest, dropped out 3 years ago, after she finished the 4th grade. They have another sister, and four other brothers. The youngest is only two years old and doesn’t have any good prospects for the future. They have received help from local authorities, but they are always going back to the same poor condition. They are in need and even the smallest effort could help them. The biggest issue they are dealing with now is living in such a small, crowded and underbuilt house, and I am sure there are people who can give a little and help such a lovely, but struggling family. Any amount can help them and all the money will go towards a new house and providing the children with the necessary things for going to school.
