Dear beloved Benefactors,

Heartfelt greetings from India!

I am John Kumar, Founder and President of “LOVE IN ACTION MINISTRIES” which is situated in the rural village of Veeravaram - province of East Godavari in the state of Andhra Pradesh in South India. It is with immense pleasure, I herewith submitting “Free Tailoring Training Centre” Project, which is intended with a specific intention to economically empower the Dalit women, who are oppressed and underprivileged in all aspects in the mainstream society. We have set up this project to enable Dalit women to earn on their own, making them self-confident and self-dependent.

Since 2018 we have been running this Project “Free Tailoring Training Centre” a Dalit community-based initiative, aims at empowering of Dalit women, with formally trained teachers to impart dressmaking skills at free of cost as well as providing them freely with the Sewing Machines to earn their livelihood, every year 100 Dalit women are being undergone training in tailoring, so far 300 Dalit women were learnt sewing skills. These 300 Dalit women are in desperate need of Sewing Machines, which would enable them to get rid of the poverty and sustain their families without any recurring debts.

Providing of Sewing Machine to the Dalit women enabling them to be self-sufficient and to help their families and defeat the Cycle of Penury. If we can provide one Sewing Machine to a Dalit family it will ensure them an additional income to provide for their family and children. It costs only USD $100,00 for a Sewing Machine. This is a onetime support for these families and this gives them a possibility to earn INR 500.00 per day. If each woman would be provided with a sewing machine, which would be a permanent blessing for her all through her life. By stitching clothes, she will be able to sustain her family and feed her children and afford education and meet other vital basic needs in the family.

We need 300 Sewing Machines to distribute freely to those who were undergone tailoring training to support their families. It will be a kind gesture on your part, to make a contribution philanthropically towards this project. With your kind help, we will be able to be a channel of God’s love and grace to these vulnerable Dalit women. Your kind help rendered towards this initiative from your highness to be appreciated to a great extent and for that act of kindness, all the beneficiaries would remain most thankful to you ever and forever!
