Ibtissam is an animal rescuer who has dedicated her life and sold her home, car and personal possessions in order to create a refuge called Help Adopt Moroccan Animals in Marrakesh which is being threatened with eviction. There she cares for her 190 rescue cats and dogs and works to adopt them to loving homes.
Morocco has few families that adopt pets and is hostile towards stray animals. Poisoning and mass exterminations are routine, along with many horrific injuries inflicted on stray animals by children. Ibtissam welcomes all the weak, starving, abused, sick animals and provides them with shelter, food & veterinary care. She saves many pets from the streets, including pregnant mothers, severely injured animals, and lost puppies and kittens, then nurses them back to health.
However, saving lives costs a lot of money and Ibtissam has fallen behind on rent. Only 20 days remain to raise €3300 for 6 months rent before the landlord will start the eviction process, leaving 190 animals without a home. Can you help these animals and keep the b refuge running? No donation is too small. Everything counts and their lives and future depend on us acting quickly to save them!
