Satoshis Charity

Satoshis Charity wants to help the poor in 3rd world developing countries with donations of cryptocurrency assets.

What is a cryptocurrency you ask?

Bitcoin is the first and most widely recognized cryptocurrency created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 with the purpose of having an independent decentralized peer to peer currency that isn’t controlled by any nation government or centralized banking institutions.

Cryptocurrencies utilize what is known as blockchain technology, which enables transparency, immutability of data, efficiency and has the potential to revolutionize every aspect of our lives in the same way that the industrial revolution changed the manufacturing process and everyone’s life from that point henceforth, that is the power of cryptocurrency blockchain technology.

The people who have benefited most from the ability to invest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies since their inception are now part of a new wealthy tech elite and are for the most part millionaires. The demographic of these early adopters is completely one sided.

According to available data, they are middle class, college educated, full-time employed, English speaking, white males in their early 30’s from first world developed countries. The most prominent example are the Winklevoss twins, who invested in Bitcoin in 2013 and are now billionaires as a result.

Recent data from a demographic survey about cryptocurrency use

Why is this relevant to Satoshis Charity?

It’s because missing from the demographic data above, are people from developing countries. Specifically the poor from third world countries which are missing out in the opportunity to invest in this new technology thereby ensuring that by and large they will continue to live a life of poverty.

Poverty and its causes are complicated, however, generally speaking, lack of proper education and educational institutions, access to technology, corruption, political instability and even war combined with the daily struggles of survival are all reasons why the poor remain poor.

The 10 poorest countries in the world are all in Africa. The average daily income in the Central African Republic is $1.80 or less. Sadly more than ¼ of sub-Saharan are poorer now than they were in 1960. Foreign aid doesn’t alleviate poverty. Micro-financing also doesn’t alleviate poverty contrary to popular opinion. With $1.80 per day, these people have no chance in taking part of this technological revolution and become investors.

This is why Satoshis Charity wants to try a different approach; instead of giving donations of money to families, or donations of food, we want to donate cryptocurrency assets directly to the children, to the graduating students of these poor families so as to give them the best opportunity to end the cycle of poverty.

This donation will be done through a fund mechanism together with an educational seminar and will enable them to take part in this new wealth creation, hopefully empowering them to escape poverty and make a positive change in their own lives, their families lives as well as those in their community.

I'm here to ask you to help me to donate to this cause, to help to establish this charity organization so that we can help these students have a better life by redistribute the wealth concentration from the privileged few to the rest of humanity.

Please donate generously to Satoshis Charity, so that we can make a real difference in people’s lives.

Thank you.
