Hello all!
My name is Chalisa and I'm raising money for my little sister, Sasha. She is 27 years old and was just diagnosed with acute leukemia. We were devastated by this news and are trying to get the money together to send her to MD Anderson in Houston, which is supposed to be one of the best places to treat leukemia. This is where the $35k goal comes from. MD Anderson charges that as a down-payment of sorts. So that's what I'm raising!
A little bit about her... She's the bravest person I know. She's not afraid of anything (except maybe clowns. lol). She is one of those people that stands out in a crowd because they just shine from within. She faces everything with a smile on her face and determination in her spirit. She has always had a way of making people feel welcome, and her sense of humor is legendary in these parts. She likes being outdoors, going camping, adventuring, traveling, photography, fishing, and riding her Paint horse, Puppy. I could honestly describe her to you all day, that's how special she is.
Being her older sister, this is really hard for me. All her life I've tried my best to keep her safe and happy, like an older sister should. But I'm having to face this from the sidelines, since I can't fix it or take her pain away.
And believe me, I would gladly trade places with her in this battle and charge the enemy line in her honor.
But if the only thing I can do is raise money to get her to the best treatment place, then by God... That's where she's going!
My family and I sincerely appreciate anything you have to give, be it a dollar or just some words of encouragement! I hope the best for you and yours, and please keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers!
