Sarah’s Zambian Teaching Adventure

Hello everyone!

Some of you might be surprised and many will know Africa has had my heart for a long time. But my life took some twists and turns early on and I had to make my kids a priority. I had always thought I would spend my 20 and 30s in Africa. So I'm starting my 40s there instead!

I am fundraising to help cover the costs incurred while volunteering as an English teacher with International Volunteers HQ.

I am a qualified high school teacher in New Zealand. I chose teaching with the intention to go to Africa so I could do a little bit to support communities who ares struggling to find teachers and make a difference.

A big part of this journey is the fulfillment of a God dream. Something I feel He placed in my heart as a child and have dreamed about ever since.

Suggested amounts for donations

$40 pays for 1 day of food and accommodation. I will be at the program for 21 days.

$350 for a one off Registration fee

$400 Travel Insurance

$6400 Air Fares

I will be leaving Auckland on the 15th December and arriving in Livingston, Zambia on the 16th December. I will begin my teaching placement on the 19th Dec and finish on either the 7th Jan. The final weeks there I will do a little sightseeing and going to looking for all the animals.
