Campaign Story
Sarah has been in treatment at McCallum Place http://www.mccallumplace.com/ in St Louis, MO since July 5, 2012 for bulimia. She has battled this for a couple years. I truely believe we were at the brink of losing her she was showing signs of vison issues, heart palpitations, and dizziness, all signs of an electrolyte imbalance. She is now medically stable and is at a good weight. She is still struggling with body image and urges. It is anticipated she will be in treatment for an additional 6-8 weeks to get those issues under control so she can truely move on with her life.
Our insurance is for now still covering the cost of treatment, this has been a battle from the beginning, not with the company but the place with authorizes treatment. They will not cover housing while she is in treatment since she was recently stepped down to partial hospitilation. Which means she is still doing the intensive 10 hour a day treatment. in St Louis, MO. but needs a place to stay and transportaiton.
Haven House http://www.havenhousestl.org/ remarkably provides this along with two meals a day when Sarah is ready for that. They charge $50 a day, provide room, board, laundry, transportation twice daily, activities and meals. However that is $1500 a month and Sarah will need to be there up to 8 weeks. Any money donated will be used for Haven House or treatment costs if insurance ends up denying.

I have never had to deal with any eating disorder issue in my family, and hope never to have to do so. Prayers for your daughter and your family that Sarah will win her fight.
