Children of Chiang Mai is a group home in Chiang Mai run by my friend Chris. He has 16 boys, and they have had a very hard year.
We would like to bring them a little Christmas cheer, help put a few presents under their tree. On Saturday, December 23, Santa and all his Elves will spend an afternoon with the boys, baking and decorating Christmas Cookies, followed by a nice meal. Before we leave we will put all the presents under the tree for their Christmas morning.
My son and I did this once before, for another orphanage, and it was such a wonderful experience for all involved!
After Pink and I had bought all the presents we had a "gift wrapping" party (that time we had 30 kids, each getting 3 presents, lots of wrapping and fun trying to keep track of what was for who!)
If you live in Chiang Mai this is an opportunity for you to enjoy the true spirit of Christmas. Just being there for the kids in the first place is really special for them, watching them decorate their Christmas cookies is so much fun, you will be amazed at how much you will enjoy the day!
Help is needed raising the funds to buy the presents. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
Let me know if you can join us for the party on the 23rd, between 1:00 - 5:00, for the whole time or just for part of the time. I will send you directions and see you there! The more the merrier!
