MY WHY FOR MAKING SOAP: Handmade soap created with oils, liquid and lye does not contain those harsh ingredients and qualifies as ‘soap.’ One day my husband asked me what to use on his skin, as he and our son both have sensitive skin. I started looking for oils to mix and use; then I thought about the soap we used, which was Dove. Their skin still felt dry and itchy, they do not have eczema or any other skin issues, this started my curiosity and soap-making journey. For the last few months I have been researching, reading and using combinations of ingredients as a trial to test the product. After several attempts I came up with a winning combination that works. Now I share with others who can benefit from the natural ingredients that nurture their skin. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and the satisfaction of creating something that benefit myself, my family and others. How did the name come about? Our youngest daughter Janeen came up with it and made the logo, I am Godly proud of her for all she has done in helping to bring San’s Soap into a reality.
