Sanitary pads for girls in slums

Corona virus has hit the world hard,disrupted the global supply chain and confined most of the worlds population to their homes. But for communities living within the slums of Kenya death by starvation is more eminent as compared to death BY COVID-19. The looming starvation was precipitated by 2 occurrences; The locust invasion that destroyed food crops in the horn of Africa and the Corona Virus pandemic. These 2 situations have left this part of Africa without food, and the situation is bound to even get worse. This is the reason we request you to donate whatever little you can and help WEZESHA INITIATIVE to feed as many people as they can in the slums of Kenya.

Covid19 has hit Kenya hardly, most people are not able to access basic needs, girls living in slums of majengo in Nairobi are no exception , most are forced to join prostitution inorder to buy sanitary pads, some have opted to criminal activities joining dangerous gangs stealing from communities, the rate of early pregnancies or unwanted has increased in the last 3months. The community being one of the poorest in Nairobi have left them to look for their own survival tactics. As a legit community based organization, we've started this campaign targeting 5000 households , we seek support to provide sanitary towels and food, your support will greatly save life here.
