We would like to support a collaborative initiative to address a fundamental and basic need of menstrual hygiene, in young school girls across the country by supplying them with sanitary pads.

Our vision is to ensure girls never miss a single day of school during or due to their menstrual cycles.

Our mission is to respond to the reality that hundred of thousands, if not millions of school girls in South Africa, do not have access to sanitary pads and therefore miss up to a week of school a month. It is our goal to run a sanitary pad drove to collect, find the supply sanitary pads to schools within South Africa, to restore girls dignity.

Lack of access of sanitary pads, mainly to school girls in South African rural areas, is a major challenge in our beloved country thus it is our aim to respond to this dire situation and support wherever possible to drive our agenda and promote the challenges faced by many school girls across the country.

According to the University of Stellenbosch, about 30% of girls in South Africa do not attend school when they are menstruating because they can not afford sanitary products. The shocking and scary reality is that without the access to good menstruating products, girls use and reuse old cloths, newspapers or sit on buckets full of sand or cow dunk to manage their periods. This poses many other health risks to them leading to infections, which further impacts their schooling career. Also, strongly linked are psychological and emotional issues, which could last a life time.

The challenge is further exacerbated as there are taxes on menstrual products, which make them especially unaffordable for underprivileged communities.

We believe we have our he repercussions of this challenge plays a significant role in our countries current and future economic climate and can be attributed directly/indirectly to poor level of education in young woman in the country, creating further gaps of gender inequality and woman empowerment.

We have a dream to positively impact this specific challenge in our communities, to create a better South Africa for us all. We will only manage this challenge, with your support and collaboration.

Thank you for your contribution!
