Campaign Story
COVID-19 and its response around the world is putting our risk to humanity specially those you you are at risk due to age, conditions or just poverty. It is not just about the spreading infection but also the lockdowns which is creating massive upheaval in the survival of those who are sleeping hungry as their lively-hood has disappeared due to lockdowns.
Covid-19 and it’s fear has created massive social and economic impact worldwide. The human spirit is too strong to give up to COVID. We all have to do our part to defeat it.
I have decided to run over 600km by 4th of June, 2020, to bring awareness on this... I have run a few odd marathons over time. I love running... but this is not about me.. this is me to run to bring awareness that we can all save lives of the elderly, folks with weaker immunity and the poor who are hands to mouth.
My goal is to raise up to $50,000 in funds to contribute to Assisi Hospice in Singapore and Prajna Foundation in India, who are helping the poorest of poor to survive in COVID. I have committed to run to bring awareness on how we can all save lives by doing our piece. I am also having one meal a day over the week days and at weekends as there are others who we need to share the valuable food supplies.
If you are inspired, please donate $25 or more please do. Or, you can contribute to awareness by running in your city and show solidarity. Or, please join me in prayer to people who need it the most.
The Human spirit is much stronger than anything like COVID. We will defeat COVID-19 and our fears for it.
Thank you!

In the midst of the evolving COVID-19 situation, Assisi Hospice's heroes - nurses, doctors, medical social workers, therapists and housekeepers soldier on. Despite the challenges, they take additional precautionary measures, "mask up" when needed and continue to focus on what is important-doing their part unwaveringly to provide care, comfort and dignity to our patients with life-limiting illnesses. We ensure that our three services - Home Care, Inpatient and Day Care are not disrupted, and our patients and their caregivers continue to receive care in the way that they need.
51% of our patients are poorest of the poor and means tested to the lowest income level, and in need of financial assistance. Your donation will enable us to continue providing patients with the medical care and psychosocial support they need. Show you care and stand united with our masked heroes to add life to the days of our patients!

We at Prajna Foundation are standing on the front-line to help prevent possible community transfer of the Covid19 virus. We are donating soaps and hand sanitizers to 5,000 slum dwellers in Delhi. There are vegetable vendors, daily wagers and migrant labourer and their families.
This is our way of ensuring that they are protected individually as is the rest of the community that stays in close proximity to each other.
Please donate generously to fund this drive to stop the spread. Even a small contribution will be appreciated.

Update posted by Sandy Gupta at 10:25 pmHi! Thank you all for your generosity! I was able to donate $8000 to the NGOs fighting for COVID-19 around. In the process I ran 250 km in four weeks in May, which while brutal physically, were very purposeful and hopefully inspired others to save life by giving to society
