In light of the devastation that Hurricane Sandy has brought upon so many families, Sandy Turkeys is a fundraiser raising money for those who might be less fortunate come this Thanksgiving. Donations will go towards the purchase of Turkeys along will all the fixings and other food items. While I currently reside in the West, my hometown Oceanside, NY has been tremendously affected by the Hurricane. I wanted to do my part to assist in the efforts to bring families some hope this Thanksgiving. I myself have donated in the past and I know that even just a few dollars might just seem like a drop in a bucket but those drops add up and will do wonders for others. So this is my shot at my first fundraiser (my mom would be proud), and I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Thanksgiving.
