Opportunity to raise funds for a life giving project for women.

We are a Christian family who attend Lifespring Church Reading. Our family have purchased a piece of land in West Reading, Berkshire, which we intend to use to reach out to women in the community, who find themselves alone and isolated, in need of encouragement and support.

We propose to build an attractive log cabin where women can receive friendship, with a place to meet for coffee, chat and off load.

We plan to offer art sessions, such as pottery painting, jewellery making, a baby club

and other therapeutic activities.

It would be a life giving opportunity offering hope and a listening ear to those in need.

We have already cleared the land of brambles and much debris, so we are ready to develop a safe and beautiful garden to be enjoyed by all who come .

Where the money's going?

Phase one is to get the utilities installed (electric, water and drainage). This would cost £15000 as we have to dig out the trench and supply the pipe work ourselves as well as pay the utility company.

Phase two is to get the foundations in place, this would cost a further £3,000.

Phase three is to build the log cabin up and phase four is to complete the garden, in which we intend to have some raised flower beds and a vegetable garden, that the ladies are welcome to come and use if they should wish.

The prices of phase 3 and 4 are still to be confirmed.
