Sam’s Guatemala Mission trip

Hello my name is Sam O'Dell and I am 19 years old,

I am starting this fundraiser to get some financial assistance for an upcoming mission trip to the country of Guatemala.

The trip is typically 8 days, and we are non-stop the entire time we are there. Our day starts with breakfast, a time to energize and get ready for the busy day ahead. Our days consist of... Building houses, putting in little stoves for cooking, putting in water filtration, and fixing up some of the older houses that were built there years ago.

One of the most gratifying events is when we assist in the shoe giveaways, because without a good pair of shoes the kids cannot go to school. We also return to the families that we built for and give the entire family new shoes along with a foot washing (very cool experience to wash their feet and extremely humbling). We go to the feeding programs, there we play games with the kids, sing songs and teach the love of Jesus.

This will be my third mission trip to Guatemala and I have been blessed each time I have been there. Any donation to help with my trip is greatly appreciated! It is an amazing experience helping others and teaching them about the love Jesus has for them and the way they too can have eternal life with Him.
