Campaign Story
Typhoon Yolanda devastated the central part of the Philippines, mostly Samar and Leyte provinces. Most of the relief efforts are centered around Tacloban City, the largest city in the area. There are hundreds of small communities in the area that are in desperate need of assistance but are not being noticed by relief efforts. This fund is designed to help those small communities not being served by popular relief efforts.
This relief fund will have no overhead; 100% of the funds will be used to provide food, water, and materials and labor required to rebuild buildings damaged by the typhoon.
These funds will be distributed by me and supervised by people who are familiar with the towns affected and will have eyes and ears on the ground in those towns. Thus, the funds will be used most effectively, directed toward those with the greatest and most urgent needs.
People in these towns do not have insurance. They live day-to-day; most are farmers and/or fishermen. They cannot afford to rebuild their homes destroyed by the storm. They will remain homeless for a long time if we don't help rebuild their property. They are also in dire need of food and water. These funds are so desperately needed!
Thank you in advance for your sympathy and generosity!
