SAMANTHA'S NURSING CAREER NEEDS CPR!

Samantha Sosora is a dynamic, vivacious young woman with top grades and big aspirations - please help us to make sure that she has the finances she needs to achieve her dream of becoming a nurse! She is so close to the finish line - next year will be her 4th year at University, but her single mom has recently lost her job and Samantha's studies hang in the balance.

Despite achieving numerous distinctions and tireless devotion to her studies, Samantha's academic career and aspirations of becoming a nurse may come to halt because of the financial difficulties her family is experiencing.

Any donation would be greatly valued - Samantha needs approximately R55,000.00 (roughly USD$3800) for next year's tuition fees. Let's all encourage this beautiful young person and support her quest to make a positive difference in lives of others! This Festive Season, you can give the gift of hope and upliftment, you can truly make Samantha's most heartfelt wish come true.

Thank you for giving Samantha's Nursing Career the emergency help that it so desperately needs, your CPR (Caring, Positive Response) will make an enormous difference to this intelligent, kind and hard-working young woman. When she is a nurse one day, she will know that she has you to thank for your support when she needed it most.

Should you wish to donate directly to the University, please get in touch and we will provide you with their banking details and her student number.

Here is what Samantha has to say, in her own words:

Hello everyone, my name is Samantha Sosora l am a nursing student at Nelson Mandela University just finished my 3rd year of studying going onto my 4th year of studying in 2020. Why did l choose to study Nursing as a career? Well l have always been passionate about working in the health industry, as l love working with people and l enjoy lending a helping hand to those who cannot help themselves, nothing makes me more happy than the feeling of knowing that l have a made a difference in someone else’s life.

I’m raised by a single mother and over the past years my mom has struggled financially to put me through school, she works tirelessly between 2 jobs, as a domestic worker from Monday to Friday and as a carer at an old age home during weekends. Through God’s grace we have managed to come this far.

This year my mom recently lost her job of more than 10 years which has made the situation even harder for us. I am appealing for help as we cannot do it alone anymore. The university was kind enough to allow us to pay the school fees in instalments over the years and sometimes l could delay in getting my results due to lack of payment.

I have tried applying for bursaries from different institutions with no luck as l am not a citizen of South Africa. I am a focused, hardworking and dedicated student. I work part time at a local restaurant, which is also helping me with the small basic need such as books allowance and transportation. I am not giving up and l will not give up, therefore l am appealing to you, if you can assist me in any way.

Completing this degree is not only a dream come true for me but also for my family members who are looking up to me. There’s nothing l would love more than to see my mom cry tears of joy as l walk through that stage getting my degree in April 2022. I would appreciate any small amount of contribution as it will make a huge difference towards my future. Please share my story with your as this will also make a big difference.

Thank You.
