Samantha Smith’s New Album

Welcome to my fundraising page! After ten years of writing and performing music, I am thrilled to be finally recording and producing my debut album of original music. I guess it was kind of inevitable that my Media Studies senior thesis would be the creation of this album. 

I have raised enough money at this point to (almost) cover the cost of recording, mixing, mastering, production, the donation offers, the release party, guitar picks, business cards, the website, legal stuff, and most importantly, the studio musicians and engineers. While most of them were students, their talent was incredible and professional and although I am paying them, I am not paying them enough. Therefore I am keeping this fundraising page open forever! Any more money will go toward paying the musicians, and once I have that covered, the extra donations will go toward my community-service based kids choir Young Singers of Orange County to support kids like me. :)

Here’s how you can be involved:

      $$$ - I need at least $10,000 to cover musicians, mixing, mastering, CD production, promotion, etc. Keep in mind this is extremely bare-bones for a professional album, thanks to the awesome friends and musicians who are donating a lot of time, space and talent to make this happen. 

      Watch a streamed show – I’ll be showing some live webcasts on Concert Window, where you can log on at a certain time and see me playing a song in real-time. Cool, right? While you watch, you can donate any amount and I’ll be able to see it happening while I’m on the air. You’ll be able to see me smile every time I get a dollar. :) This will be less often now as I am not having as many public shows, but maybe I'll do a concert for you all in my room!
