Campaign Story
A mum's dying wish to take her children to visit Derby Garden Centre has come true - with the help of charitable Derby people.
Mum-of-three Samantha Green was diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer 18 months ago and has been told she has just days to live.
The 34-year-old from Chaddesden said her last wish was to visit the garden centre, in Little Eaton, to see the Christmas lights with her family.
With the help of Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, City Cars, carers from Care Link and district nurses, Samantha's final wish came true.
Blue Diamond, the company that own Derby Garden Centre would now like to raise some additional funds for the family so that together they can enjoy Christmas together with some additional financial support.

This story really struck a cord with me, I lost my own mother to ovarian cancer when I was 11 years old, 21 years a go on Monday. I know the pain that awaits these three children and I’m just so sorry they are having to go through this. Sending strength, love and prayers to all the family xx
