SAKADAB, the family of PWD’s

There is a Community in Davao City, Philippines which is the Sakadab family. A community which is none of them can walk or they are all people with diasability. There are 21 of PWD's to be exact. Some living with family and some were living in their own just in one place. Their house was just built with the help of Mayor Sarah Duterte, mayor of Davao City Philippines, daughter of Rodrigo Duterte.

I am a 1st year student of Ateneo de Davao University. Last February 20, 2016, we, the 1st year class representative conducted our Engagement day. We went there as a part of our activity. We were 85 class representatives and our guide divided us into 17 groups since there were only 17 sakadab members present. 5 were not there that day because of important matters. We were assigned to talk with them and hear their stories by our guide. We were so touched and inspired by what they have shared.

Those Family made us realized that we must be thankful and contented in everything we have. I want to help them because they are worth helping for. If they could have just walked or stand and capable of doing things just like normal people do, maybe they can live life as much as they want to live. Help and come with me and make them happy!
