Safe! Bath

THE SAFE! BATH IS A PLAN TO OFFER A SAFER BATH FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY

The desire to have a positive impact on the lives of people with reduced mobility was one of the main reasons for me to have dedicated myself to this project. For years I have created alternative solutions that could offer more comfort and practicality for the disabled people, and with the SAFE! BATH project will be possible to accomplish these premises.

The big challenge was to create a bathtub that would provide greater comfort during bathing, reducing the risk of falls, being suitable for all types of public, such as children, obese, pregnants, adults, the elderly, physically and mentally disabled, and to be easy to transfer for wheelchair users.

In the video above, the story of my uncle Edmund, who was an agent encouraged to take this project forward, and that I was sure that a safer and more accessible bathtub is a great necessity.

The intention is provide greater independence and control of the bathing process, bringing greater practicality and safety in the day-by-day, and can be a vector of transformation in lives of many people who need solutions like this to become more empowered.

The bathtub is very versatile, it is foldable with adjustable heights and depth of wet area, for children, adults and disabled, for an universal use. It transportables, fits in car trunks and is easy to assemble and disassemble, serving for any situation, from baths in homes, hospitals, rooms and even can be used as recreation in areas such as swimming pool.

There are already baths accessible to the physically disabled, however they are very expensive, they demand large spaces, time and money for installation, besides being fixed.

The materials that will be used in the bathtub are comfortable to the touch, easy to clean, lightweight and do not attack the environment.

The bath tub will cost less than conventional bath tubs because it will use more versatile materials and will not require electrical, water and sanitary sewage installation costs.

The phases and deadlines for the realization of SAFE! BATH are these:

PHASE 1 - Until June 2019, it will be the fundraising campaign: the campaign will have raised funds enough for prototyping and testing.

PHASE 2- From June 2019 until March 2020, will be the prototyping and testing phase of the bath, in which will be made all the necessary changes so that the bath to adapt from standards, that supports the weights that concern it, as well as, have their processes of supply, manufacture, assembly and shipping, very well synchronized.

PHASE 3- From March 2020, launch and sales of the bathtub.

The project has been developed, but the creation of this campaign came with the intention of raising funds for an expensive phase of the project, in which I have to be totally dedicated to making it a reality, which is the prototyping and testing phase.

It will require the amount of $ 20,000.00 so that I can proceed to the second phase and prototype the bath, and at the moment, it is as a monetary aid, that I will need your support! Any amount donated, is of great value to the project!

With the SAFE! BATH, completed, tested and in the process of manufacturing, a worldwide campaign will be launched on the main crowdfunding sites and people who donate any amount here will be rewarded with discounts and advantages in purchasing the bathtub in the sales phase.

So it is extremely important that you put your contacts as emails and social media so that I can update you on the progress of each phase of the project, tell you when the bath will be launched, and how you will use your discounts and benefits.
