The 2011 North Carolina Youth Risk Behavior Survey indicateds that among high school students:
Sexual Risk Behaviors
49% teens had sexual intercourse
9% had sexual intercourse for the first time before age 13 years
17% had sexual intercouse with four or more persons during their life
46% did not use a condom during last sexual intercourse
unknown % were never taught in school about AIDS or HIV infection
WE ARE TRYING TO PLACE SAFE SEX PLEDGE STICKERS IN 20 AREA HIGH SCHOOLS:
1. I will not engage in unprotected sex.
2. I will only have sex when I am ready.
3. I will love myself
