The children of Casa Gavroche need your help!
In Moldova, among the poorest countries in Europe, every fifth child has been abandoned or neglected by at least one parent. Casa Gavroche is a child-caring center and a home for these children in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. Casa Gavroche's Facebook Page
Currently, the children in Casa Gavroche are drinking the non-potable tap water which is not safe due to high levels of chemicals and lack of efficient water regulation. The governmental funding covers only the basic needs of the children, such as food and heating, but toys and potable water is not included.
Please join us in helping to protect the children from the harms of the tap water!
All the raised funds are going towards providing the children with drinking water. Even small donations have big impact, so any donation is welcome.
* 3€ buys 19 liters of potable water.
* 50€ buys the center potable water for one month.
We have set ourselves a personal challenge that we'll collect the money for providing the center with drinking water for one year. To reach this goal we have to collect 600€. In the case we top our funding goal, the staff at Casa Gavroche will decide whether the funds will be used on water, clothing, school equipment or other necessities.
Who are we?
We, Johanna from Finland and Claudio from Portugal, are volunteers organizing activities for the children, in order to increase their self-esteem, offer a positive adult role model and teach them about cultural differences. We get the best feedback from our work when we see a smile on a child's face.
Thank you for caring for the future of the left-behind children.
