Sad Girl with Big Dreams

I am a future Event Planner. The original direction was to attend post-secondary school and get my diploma but because I do not do well at sitting still or doing tests I was asked to take a year off. My new plan is to gain an education through experience. This requires working from the bottom up. For the last 2 years during summer breaks I worked with an organization to plan their yearly summer event. The first year I applied for the position but the second year they sought me out to work for them again because they knew my work ethic was on par. They asked me back for a third year this year but I refused based on their lack of clear working policies and they weren't willing to pay me what I knew I was worth after 2 years of experience under my belt. What I need to do now is get involved in an event whether on the planning board or as a volunteer so I can gain an even better name for myself but this is not a plan with monetary rewards at the outset it is a long term strategy that requires sacrifice. I hate sacrifice. And I like heat, electricity, food and a roof over my head and I will need a wardrobe that says "I have what it takes!" I know you might have known someone like me at some time in your life and you wished you could help them out but you didnt have the resources at the time but now you are in a better place in your life and are able to help those who need it, but now everyone that needed your help before is as well off in life as you are. This is where I come in, I need your help and I know that your generous nature is wanting to lend that helping hand. Do not talk yourself out of helping someone just starting their journey in life. Be excited that you can help a young woman fulfill her dreams.
