SA Open Kneeboard Champs

After a successful re-energizing of kneeboarding over the past few years and blistering 2020 World Title Campaign, we're hoping to take Kneeboarding Surfing South Africa to new heights.

With Covid-19 affecting everyone this year, there are guys who would like to compete but just can’t make it. Given the momentum we have seen throughout the kneelo family we aim to make the 2020 SA Open better than ever by pushing the level of the sport and putting the best against the best, in top quality surf with world class facilities and judging. With this comes logistical challenges and event setup costs and media coverage.

The proposed use of funds is to assist travel and accommodation for those in need to compete in the 2020 SA Open Kneeboard Champs in Lamberts Bay on the West Coast, along with financing top judges and scoring systems to allow live scoring so that friends, family and the international kneelo community can stay close to the action.

With our eyes firmly set on 2022 World Kneeboard Titles in Portugal, it is integral to start early by hosting a quality event and attracting the countries best talent, world class facilities and judges to aid putting in a successful bid to host the World Kneeboard Titles on South African beaches in the coming years.
